We love this Golden Era of Houston baseball and getting to the World Series is always an option for us now but in 2005, it was our first time. We didn’t win that series, thanks Geoff Blum, but we can remember where we came from on the 20th anniversary. Whether you want to do it with current colors, get bricked up or roll with Houston blue.

The 2005 Houston Astros had a historic season, marked by their first appearance in the World Series. Under the management of Phil Garner, the team finished the regular season with a record of 89 wins and 73 losses, securing a Wild Card spot in the National League. Notable players included standout pitcher Roy Oswalt, who led the staff with 20 wins, and future Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell, who contributed significantly despite dealing with injuries.

The Astros' postseason journey began with a dramatic victory over the Atlanta Braves in the NL Division Series, followed by an impressive sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Championship Series. In the World Series, they faced the Chicago White Sox, ultimately losing in a four-game sweep. Despite the defeat, the 2005 season remains a significant milestone in the franchise's history, showcasing the team's resilience and talent on a national stage.
