Do People Still Blog?

Where do I start? Its Q4 of 2024, I had a lot of eggs in one basket (the Astros) and they didn’t go very far in the playoffs and a looming tariff that could raise prices of my blanks, ink and other supplies. I’m concerned about what may be in 2025 and to be honest I have concerns of my survival. I’m never one to give up without a fight so here’s what I’ve been working on the past few months and what I want to accomplish in 2025.

The Texans are a playoff contender now and I’m doing designs for the fans, this includes the Rockets. Celebrating 30 years of the Back to Back is here and the Rockets are on the climb to being a really good team and a playoff contender.

I’m also working on digital sales and selling designs on various online channels. I don’t really promote the selling of other various designs but I’m a graphic designer first, it’s a great way to test designs, or work on other designs that may not fit well with RamShirts. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a Houston sports fan first and foremost but I also have other ideas that can sell nationwide and to the general public, these include calendars and notepads and mugs that are funny or passive aggressive or for a company that just doesn’t fit on the site.

I’ve always wanted to sell other things, initially i started with 3 sites, CrushCityTees was the Houston sports themed shirts, 762 Gear was military themed shirts and YTF Gear was faith-based Tshirt’s. I had a several ideas on each site but fresh off the 2017 World Series win Crush City Tees took off, took my time and the other two fell by the wayside, but I’m bringing it back along with digital downloads and more.

Tariffs. It took 2 years to find what I believe is the perfect shirt. It’s the perfect fit. I love the shirt I use, I have people asking to buy blanks because it’s just comfortable, I literally wear one everyday, day and night. If I could change anything would be a slightly darker shade of orange that is offered but the fit is perfect. These shirts originate overseas and could face tariffs, its a concern and I’ll have to adjust if it happens.

I’m sorry that I’m all over the place but I’m better typing than speaking in front of a camera. I don’t like being in front of a camera, but it’s the necessary thing to do to reach more people and get your brand out there. If you have something you’d like to see or ask, do it, let me know.

Thanks for stopping by, see you on the next one.
